The Illinois District sponsors a poster contest for 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th graders who submit original posters to their local club. Posters are made up of original artwork based on a selected theme, and are judged in two divisions (one for 3rd and 4th graders; one for 5th and 6th graders). Winning posters from the Optimist Club are submitted to the District Contest, where prizes are awarded for the top three posters in both divisions.
